Pontypridd Common Heritage Walking Trail.

Providing a fascinating insight into the history of Pontypridd Common, this Heritage Trail will navigate you around key points of interest, commemorating the notable people, places and events which form part of the area's intriguing past.

Located at the heart of both the trail and Pontypridd Common is Pontypridd's iconic Rocking Stones, which have been a focal point for public gatherings and local bardic ceremonies since 1814. The stone formation is made up of a 10,000-year-old glacial boulder, deposited from the Ice Age, which is surrounded by Gorsedd Stones.

The 1.6km trail starts at and finishes on Hospital Road, at the former Pontypridd Cottage Hospital.

Please note the route is mainly tarmac, though there may be some uneven terrain, with some steep ascents/descents.
