Llantrisant Heritage Walking Trail

Located in Llantrisant, once a significant medieval stronghold, this audio trail delivers a fascinating insight into a rich and often dark history.

The trail explores key sites such as the statue of the eccentric druid, Dr. William Price. He performed the first legal cremation and was a fearless local celebrity.

Llantrisant Castle is where the unfortunate King Edward II was imprisoned. The tower ruins remain, as well as stocks on Castle Green and the nearby Guildhall is a great place to visit and enjoy a cuppa!

Pair the heritage trail with the Llantrisant Audio Trail track for more information about the town's history.

The 1km walk will start and finish at the Gwaun Ruperra Car Park and takes approximately 1 hour to complete.

After your walk, why not visit The Model House, or browse the town's shops? There's also a choice of places to eat and drink.

Please note there is some uneven terrain, including some steep ascents and descents in Llantrisant. This walk therefore may not be suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs, or people with mobility problems.
