Zip World Tower
Soar from the summit of the amazing Rhigos mountain on the world’s fastest seated zip line, Phoenix.
Rhondda Cynon Taf is the only location in South and Mid Wales to host the iconic Welsh Zip World brand.
Zip World Tower opened on the site of the former Tower Colliery, the oldest continuously working coal mine in the UK.
Tower closed in 2008, but not before an epic struggle by its miners to keep it open.
Visitors to Zip World Tower can enjoy the celebration of the site’s industrial past, with mining memorabilia in Cegin Glo Café and the industrial theme to the brand-new Tower Climber.
Zip World Tower boasts Phoenix, the fastest seated zip line in the world.
Riders are transported to the top of Rhigos Mountain, which has panoramic views as far as the Brecon Beacons and Pen Y Fan, for a thrilling ride down.
Tower Flyer has been designed for smaller children, so they can get involved in the thrills and spills as well.
Zip World Tower is also home to Tower Climber, an adventure activity course set high above the ground. With three storeys, a viewing deck and 55 obstacles and elements to confront, it’s the largest course of its time in the UK.
If you dare, you can also book the swing at the end – soar through the air over stunning landscapes.
Tower Climber also has a junior course for smaller children.
The on-site Cegin Glo Bar and Bistro is open to all visitors – including dogs (outdoor areas only) – and serves a range of snacks and meals to be enjoyed alongside the stunning views. It also has a licensed bar so you can relax with a beer or a gin at the end of your adventure.
