Bunch of Grapes
The Bunch of Grapes is an historic pub dating back to the mid-1800s, on one of the few surviving sections of the adjacent Glamorganshire Canal which is currently being restored.
Located just off the town centre, this busy and well-loved gastropub is highly acclaimed with a menu featuring locally sourced choices prepared freshly onsite including daily baked breads using brewery grains.
Special food and drink events occur throughout the year such as Welsh cheese nights and Cooked over the Coal evenings, plus celebration events.
It consistently features in the Good Food Guide and has won a number of awards for its diverse and creative menu.
The bar is also renowned for its unique variety and range of guest craft beers and ciders with nine cask and five keg always available. This includes its own range of award winning CWRW Otley craft beers from its onsite micro-brewery, a legacy of owner and head brewer Nick Otley’s original, award winning Otley Brewing Company.
Regular tap takeovers occur, where quest brewers from across South Wales come to meet customers and share their own ranges of craft beers.
There is a choice of comfortable seating areas available in the sizable, but cosy, bar and guests can relax in the restaurant while food is prepared in the open-plan kitchen, the decking area or courtyard situated next to the micro-brewery.
