Gwaelod Y Garth Inn
Staff here do everything you can to make you feel welcome and comfortable as you relax, dine and stay.
Rooms at the Gwaelod Y Garth Inn have been designed to offer comfort and luxury, with much of the furniture locally-made. The art on the wall is from local artists too. Touches such as only the best luxury mattresses and sumptuous bedding add to the warm welcome.
There are a range of offers at the inn, where you can combine meals with stays. You can book a dog friendly room to stay in via the website.
Guests can choose from a number of dining options, including the intimate and welcoming upstairs dining room, or the bar downstairs, where well-behaved dogs can join you as you eat.
Whatever option you choose, you can be guaranteed your meal will be prepared using only the best fresh local produce.
The Gwaelod stands at the foot of the huge Garth Mountain (we have a walking route up there if you are interested!) in the village of Taff’s Well, the location of the Hugh Grant film The Englishman Who Went Up A Hill And Came Down A Mountain. The village DIY shop was also said to be the inspiration for Arkwright's in Open All Hours.
